Construction CDL Tanker Driver

The Commercial Tanker Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of construction materials to and from job sites. When not driving, the driver will assist with general highway construction-related tasks, ensuring smooth project operations. This role involves hauling construction materials to job sites and assisting with highway construction crew activities when not driving. Non-driving time a maximum of 25%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class A CDL truck with tanker endorsement to transport construction materials safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Secure loads properly and ensure safe material transport.
  • Assist with highway construction tasks when not driving, up to 25% of the time.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with all safety procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license with Tanker Endorsement.
  • 1 year of recent commercial truck driving experience.
  • No serious citations within the last 5 years.
  • No DWI/DUI within the last 10 years.
  • Prior experience hauling construction materials preferred.
  • Ability to perform light highway construction tasks as needed.
  • Must be safety-conscious and comply with all DOT and company regulations.

Applicant Requirements

  • Work hours vary based on seasonal workload, with primarily daytime 10-12 hour shifts.
  • Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturday work required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a valid email address for communication.
  • Pre-employment drug screening required.
  • Must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
